Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Illinois is seeking a Donor Driver Specialist to perform phlebotomy collection and operate the mobile drive vehicle. You will interact with donors and coordinators, delivering high-quality patient experiences and supporting a collaborative team environment.

The role requires working 4:00am-10:00pm shifts, including weekends and holidays, with full-time 40 hours/week. Training and shift differentials are provided to enhance donor services and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Candidate should have 1-3 years of relevant people-facing experience (preferred).
• Minimum one year of job-related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a full-size commercial van/Promaster following DOT guidelines and transport staff, supplies, and equipment safely.
• Load/unload supplies and set up at mobile site, including technology systems and quality control.
• Perform donor screening, mini-physical, and phlebotomy with excellent donor service.
• Provide a service-centric donor experience, responding to inquiries and escalating to leadership when needed.
• May conduct automation (Alyx/Trima) and recruit donors for automation.
• Maintain a positive team culture and assist coworkers with respectful behavior.
• Observe donors for reactions and provide care; rebook donors for future appointments.
