Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (may be required by state guidelines).
• Phlebotomist Certification is preferred (Required in Louisiana).
• At least 1 year of prior related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers with courtesy.
• Ensures all phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens according to procedures and explains venipuncture clearly to patients.
• Disposes of biohazard materials per laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions in PathConnect and enters patient data into systems.
• Maintains daily PSC/IOPST logs and periodic statistics.
