Job summary

Synectics Inc. seeks a Patient Services Representative II to draw blood and prepare specimens for lab testing while ensuring accuracy and patient comfort. You will explain procedures and verify patient information in a fast-paced setting across multiple sites.

The role requires phlebotomy experience, strong customer focus, and flexibility to travel to doctor’s offices or service centers. High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional medical training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• 1–3 years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs (weekends/holidays/on-call/overtime).
• Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• Travel and flexibility to work at multiple locations with short notice.
• Superior customer focus; clear communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures and create a trustworthy environment for patients.
• Verify patient demographics and labels post-venipuncture for accuracy.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Maintain a safe, professional environment.
• Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection per procedures.
• Travel to assigned locations as needed and cover multiple sites.
