Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred in CA/NV/WA.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Performs both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Verify patient demographic info and initials post-venipuncture to ensure tubes are labeled correctly.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients and staff.
