Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Marlborough, MA, is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to oversee Patient Services, including Mobile and In-Office Phlebotomy and PSCs, with weekday hours and weekend rotation.

You will train staff, manage daily operations, ensure safety and compliance, and drive process improvements across multiple facilities while maintaining a professional environment. The role emphasizes staff development, scheduling efficiency, and adherence to QA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership.
• Minimum five years' experience in phlebotomy, laboratory or other healthcare environments.
• English language proficiency; ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all assigned facilities, PSCs, mobile and in-office phlebotomy.
• Implement SOPs for phlebotomy services in accordance with Quest Diagnostics guidelines.
• Where applicable, ensure licensure requirements are met, working with QA and Medical Director's offices.
• Ensure all Laboratory testing QA/QC documentation is complete and reviewed as required.
• Oversee safety, maintenance, and cleanliness of facilities (including upgrades, repairs, etc.).
• Perform site visits at PSCs/IOPs and mobile phlebotomy sites and document findings; conduct QA audits.
• Relocate/open/close PSCs, IOPs and RRLs.
• Oversee inventory process for supervised facilities.
• Participate in interview, selection and hiring of new employees.
• Train, coach, supervise and develop staff; monitor performance and conduct appraisals.
• Hold regular staff meetings; ensure driving requirements are met; track time/attendance.
• Prepare schedules with minimal overtime; maintain adequate coverage; prepare month-end reports.
• May train and onboard new Clients; investigate and respond to customer complaints.
• Contribute to Quest improvement and standardization initiatives; assist in budget preparation.
• Participate in process improvement projects; lead cross-functional groups; give presentations as needed.
• Demonstrate Quest Diagnostics values; perform all other duties within scope.
