Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture, finger sticks, or heel sticks.
• Collect non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs.
• Verify test orders and labels for accuracy; communicate discrepancies.
• Prepare and organize equipment for tests and procedures.
• Identify and reassure patients, ensuring proper ID and consent.
• Perform testing per procedure, calibrate equipment, and maintain QC.
