Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician I to provide quality lab services including registration, specimen collection, processing, and related duties. The role performs venipuncture and ensures proper identification of patients, specimens, and lab orders, while maintaining equipment and supplies.

As a full-time on-site position, you will utilize LIS/EPIC systems, assist in training staff, and support the hospital's mission to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Performs venipunctures according to policies and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and collects various specimens.
• Identifies patients and labels specimens according to policy.
• Prepares and processes specimens for analysis and testing.
• Operates LIS/EPIC modules and registration inEPIC.
• Assists in training lab support staff and students.
• Ensures equipment and supplies are ready and functional.
