Qualifications

• Preferable experience in phlebotomy and/or specimen processing.
• Ability to handle challenging situations and balance multiple priorities.
• Strictly maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures for timed specimens and blood cultures.
• Identify patients and verify specimen identification.
• Prepare, centrifuge, aliquot, and route specimens.
• Monitor daily temperatures and perform equipment maintenance.
• Assist with EPIC registration for patient demographics.
• Attends department meetings and delivers reports.
• Train new lab support technicians and phlebotomy students.
• Follow institutional infection control and safety procedures.
