UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Lab Support Tech I in Massachusetts to greet patients, perform phlebotomy procedures, and support lab operations. The role includes blood draws, specimen handling, and using hospital information systems.

You will collect samples, register specimens, assist with test ordering, and maintain a clean work area while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The position is non-exempt, day shift, with typical 24 hours per week across Monday to Sunday schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy training preferred.
• ASCP certification or eligibility preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collect blood samples using venipuncture techniques across age groups.
• Label, prioritize, and transport specimens per protocol.
• Maintain clean, organized drawing station and restock supplies.
• Register courier-delivered specimens and manage test orders.
• Provide telephone support and respond to inquiries.
• Support ER and patient flow with timely draws.
