Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is hiring a Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist to work independently with minimal supervision and to perform multiple modalities. Compensation depends on modalities performed; apprentices may be considered for candidates without experience.

Regular in-person attendance during scheduled hours is essential. Expect on-call duties and holiday coverage as needed, with varied shifts and a focus on patient care and accurate sample handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred for clinical lab roles.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant program or similar training.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory to support department needs.
• Observe students and new staff as needed.
• Demonstrate professional judgment when dealing with clients and coworkers.
• Perform clerical tasks and document critical communication when necessary.
• Participate in on-call coverage and holiday/weekend shifts as needed.
