Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a Phlebotomist Group Lead in Merced, CA, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role requires a state phlebotomy license with CA restrictions noted. Pay range is $28.80 - $31.45 per hour, with possible annual bonus based on performance and company factors.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, billing, log maintenance, and staff coaching. Travel across territories may be required to support PSC/IOP operations.

Qualifications

Seven years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
State phlebotomy license required; CA does not accept NHA licenses.
Travel and flexible hours to cover multiple locations and shifts.
Excellent communication and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Collect specimens according to established procedures.
Data entry of patient registration and test orders.
Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
Maintain phlebotomy logs and quality records.
Provide onboarding and mentorship to new staff as needed.
Coordinate with supervisors and regional managers on performance metrics.
