Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Merced, CA. The shift is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, with rotational weekends. A state phlebotomy license is required in California. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.
• Medical training preferred (e.g., medical assistant, paramedic).

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens following established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, etc.).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client information.
• Enter data accurately using computer systems.
• Obtain and verify patient/billing information; process payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for transport (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting).
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, cleaning, filing, phones, email.
