Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist Group Lead in Merced, CA. The role supports phlebotomy operations across sites, mentors staff, and ensures accurate specimen collection and data entry. A state phlebotomy license is required, with CA licensing preference noted.

Responsibilities include coordinating team activities, ensuring QA compliance, and maintaining safety standards. Travel to off-site locations or meetings may be required, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a standard daytime

Qualifications

• Seven years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Willingness to travel and cover multiple locations.
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens following established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders and patient information using lab systems.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and required records.
• Provide onboarding and coaching to new employees on-site.
