Job summary

Versiti in Michigan seeks a Donor Services Supervisor to lead and develop staff, oversee blood and blood component procurement, and ensure quality, cost, and production goals are met across sites and mobile drives.

You will supervise Donor Services associates, provide coaching and training, ensure regulatory compliance with CLIA, FDA and SOPs, and serve as a key liaison with donors, patients and coordinators while supporting donor recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required.
• Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail.
• Must be able to travel to all Versiti sites, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements and supervises functions of assigned associates who collect blood and blood components.
• Communicates changes and problems to associates and verifies understanding of policy/procedures.
• Projects workflow, prioritizes duties, troubleshoots, and problem solves.
• Serves as a public relations contact for donors, patients, coordinators, recruiters, and the public.
• Prepares/administers annual performance appraisals and coaches staff as required.
• Ensures donor related documents are complete and accurate, as applicable.
• Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements and practices (FDA, CLIA, etc.).
