Job summary

OneBlood in Lakeland, FL seeks a Lead Collection Supervisor to provide leadership, instruction, and guidance to the collection staff during blood drives or at branches. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, donor care, and ensuring adherence to FDA and AABB standards.

This role supervises staff assignments, maintains donor records, coordinates meals/breaks, and supports recruitment and collection goals. CDL and CPR are required if mobile units are used; strong organization and customer service

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus six months related experience.
• Strong phlebotomy and donor-care skills.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and safety rules.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to collection staff during blood drives or at branches.
• Perform phlebotomy and collection procedures per FDA and AABB standards.
• Ensure staff follow policies, track donor records and regulator documents.
• Coordinate staff meal/break periods and monitor deferrals and performance.
• Assist recruitment of donors and support collection goals including mobile units.
