Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for the UH Women's Eubank Clinic. This hourly position offers Monday-Friday 0730-1630 with potential for other shifts, and includes clinical lab assistant responsibilities and phlebotomy duties.

Ideal candidates will have HS diploma, ASCP certification or equivalent, and completion of a CLAB program. Immunization against Hep B is required, with on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program required.
• Immunization against Hepatitis B required or proof of immunity.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory needed for departmental functions.
• Observe students and new staff as needed.
• Demonstrates professional judgment when dealing with clients and co-workers.
• Participates in on-call duties and coverage for holidays, evenings, and weekends.
