Job summary

Labcorp in Newark, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections across age groups, enter patient data, and help with billing and specimen preparation. Travel to additional sites will be required.

We value exceptional customer service, good communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team. A phlebotomy certification or accredited training is required, with a high school diploma or GED as a baseline.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
