Job summary

Labcorp in Newark, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in a full-time role. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, process specimens, and maintain accurate patient data. The position requires strong patient service skills and reliability.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday with rotating weekends, and opportunities for growth and professional development are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
