Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Parsippany, NJ team. The role involves blood collection, specimen handling, and providing excellent patient service in a patient service center or client office.

Schedule includes mornings and rotating Saturdays with opportunities for growth. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification; preferred candidates have 6+ months of phlebotomy experience, strong communication skills, and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency.
• 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
