Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience is required.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician - ASCP certification is required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain blood specimens per CLSI guidelines.
• Demonstrates proficiency in patient identification, labeling, accessioning and processing.
• Work under supervision of Phlebotomist III and Laboratory leads; escalate issues as needed.
• Mentor students and new employees and participate in competency assessments.
