Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist in Pennsylvania to perform phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients, with accurate data entry and specimen processing. You will verify specimen receipt, manage reports, and respond to inquiries, while following LIS procedures and safety protocols.

The role requires patient identification accuracy, adherence to withdrawal and transport guidelines, and collaboration with healthcare staff to ensure timely laboratory services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or next level of higher education.
• Completion of Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Training Program or six (6) months experience performing phlebotomy.
• Knowledge of coding, basic math, and payer/insurance benefits is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and general office related equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy using various techniques for inpatients and outpatients.
• Accurately enter orders and collection information in the LIS.
• Verify and receive specimens and process reports and inquiries.
• Identify patients and specimens using two identifiers.
• Follow department protocols for blood collection and post-venipuncture care.
• Maintain safe transport of specimens and deliver to the laboratory promptly.
