Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a phlebotomist to perform venipunctures, heel sticks, and finger sticks, and assist with non-blood specimen collection. You will collect and process patient specimens per lab policies, maintain a clean work area, and support laboratory operations both on-site and off-site as needed.

Preferred candidates have six months of phlebotomy experience; a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy training are required. A sign-on bonus of $1,500 is offered where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collects and processes patient specimens and performs phlebotomy.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the work area and adequate supplies for efficient laboratory operations.
• Performs laboratory support duties (e.g., order entry, registration, specimen receiving, etc.) to ensure efficient operations.
• May mentor students in phlebotomy utilizing AHN policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
