Job summary

Geisinger Medical Laboratories is seeking a Phlebotomist at the Lock Haven clinic to join our patient-centered team. You will perform venipuncture and skin puncture, label and process specimens, and support preanalytical operations in inpatient, clinic, and field service areas.

With 1+ year of related experience and ASCP certification, you will collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe collection and accurate testing while mentoring new team members and upholding Geisinger’s standards of

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience.
• ASCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other specimens by venipuncture and skin puncture.
• Ensure correct patient identification, labeling, and specimen processing.
• Follow CLSI guidelines and document results per SOP.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to maintain patient safety.
• Mentor students and new employees.
• Keep inventory and use Geisinger systems.
