Qualifications

• Requires initial and annual competency via Learning Management System with exam and direct observation checklist.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain blood specimens per CLSI guidelines.
• Demonstrates expertise in patient identification, specimen collection, labeling, accessioning, and processing.
• Collaborates with clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care and accurate test results.
• Mentors students and new employees in phlebotomy procedures and workplace expectations.
• Responsible for inventory management and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.
