Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC in Columbia, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with duties including blood draws and specimen labeling.

Minimum qualifications include a valid phlebotomy certification, experience in venipuncture, and at least 2 years of phlebotomy work in fast-paced settings. Pediatric and geriatric experience is required; proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected;

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly and maintain specimen integrity; collect and transport specimens.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA regulations.
