Job summary

Accounting Search in Columbia, MD is seeking a contract Phlebotomist to support a fast-paced diagnostic lab. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of phlebotomy experience and Certification, with experience handling pediatric and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring proper specimen transport. This role requires OSHA compliance and ability to work M-F 8a-5p with potential for permanent

Qualifications

• 2-4 years diagnostic phlebotomy experience.
• Pediatric and geriatric patient handling experience required.
• Valid phlebotomy certification where required.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen labeling.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate work areas and update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling.
