Job summary

Essenti Talent seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Columbia, MD. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8a–5p, with potential for permanent employment. Requires 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and pediatric/geriatric care skills.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and ensuring specimen integrity. Qualified candidates have phlebotomy certification (state-specific), 2+ years in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Pediatric & geriatric patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Ensure proper specimen packaging and transport per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Verify test orders and match requisitions to specimens.
