Job summary

Zaddy Solutions in Columbia, MD is seeking a contract Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label specimens, and process samples in a fast-paced lab.

Requirements include 2 years of phlebotomy experience, pediatric and geriatric patient care, a valid phlebotomy certification, and proficiency with data entry. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8a-5p, for ~3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture clearly to patients.
• Properly matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and packages specimens for transport.
