Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and every 3rd Saturday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM at a nearby patient service center
Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company to patients, assisting with health routines and health decisions.
- Draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, following established procedures.
- Creates a trusting environment with patients, explaining procedures and drawing blood safely and accurately.
- Displays leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Performs daily activities accurately and punctually under supervision.
- Maintains a safe and professional environment.
- Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing confidently, adhering to protocols.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation.
- Promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment to patients, clients, and the public.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
- At least 6 months of experience required.
- Over 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
