Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in California, MD. You will perform skilled specimen collections, provide exceptional customer service, and be the face of the company while supporting growth opportunities within the organization.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, with responsibilities including venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, and billing support. A phlebotomy certification or training and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred Qualifications: 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.

Education

High school diploma or GED
