Job summary

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, seeking a Phlebotomist to join the team at Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. This role emphasizes skilled specimen collection, data entry accuracy, and exceptional patient service.

You will work Monday–Friday with potential overtime and travel to additional sites. A valid CA Phlebotomy license is required, with options for licensure if needed; strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License.
• In lieu of state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
