Job summary

LabCorp in Paducah, KY is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient service team. This role performs blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collects specimens for drug screens and other tests, and ensures accurate data entry and documentation.

The position requires excellent customer service and reliable transportation. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 6:30pm, with potential travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
