Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Corbin, Kentucky team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for various tests, and deliver compassionate patient care.

You will also handle data entry, prepare specimens for testing, and support administrative and clerical duties. A high school diploma or GED and 1 year of phlebotomy experience are required; certification or training from an accredited agency is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
