Job summary

LabCorp in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform skilled blood collection, handle specimens for testing, and ensure accurate data entry and patient service at our Patient Service Center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Preferred: 2+ years of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab setting.
• A phlebotomy certification or accredited training program is required in lieu of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis and maintain logs.
