Job summary

LabCorp in Pleasant Hill, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection, patient service, and data entry, with opportunities to travel to additional sites.

The position supports a Monday–Friday schedule with possible weekend rotation and training in California. Qualified applicants will require a California phlebotomy license or license application, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid California Phlebotomy License.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to attend 2-week training in California.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
