Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certificate through NAACLS or completion of a phlebotomy program with internship demonstrating 100 successful venipunctures.
• 6 months phlebotomy experience may be considered in lieu of internship.
• Ability to perform venipuncture on adults, children and infants.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection across age groups.
• Label tubes with complete information and prepare site.
• Enter orders in LIS and route specimens to testing.
• Greet patients and provide collection instructions.
• Maintain a clean, stocked phlebotomy tray and comply with infection control procedures.
