Job summary

Labcorp in Jamesburg, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, and delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced environment.

The position may require travel between sites, with a schedule Monday–Thursday and Friday. A phlebotomy certification or accredited training is required, and a HS diploma is a minimum. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $24.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
