Job summary

Labcorp in Vernon, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Work schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm with rotating Saturdays 7:00am–11:00am. Primary duties include venipuncture, specimen collection, data entry, and customer service in a clinical setting.

The ideal candidate holds a phlebotomy certification or training, or has 3+ months experience. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $24 per hour with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
