Job summary

Labcorp in Columbus, NJ seeks a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–2:30pm with alternating Saturdays. Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, and customer service.

Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification, and 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Travel to other sites may be required; color blindness test compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training program.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
