Job summary

Labcorp in Scottsburg, IN is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages and ensure accurate data entry and timely processing of specimens.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and strong customer service skills. Evening or overtime availability may be required to support patient needs.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program OR 3+ months experience as phlebotomist
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen logs
• Provide excellent customer service to patients
• Assist with administrative duties as needed
• Travel to additional sites when required
