Job summary

Labcorp in Columbia City, IN is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, collect specimens for various tests, and enter patient data accurately while providing excellent customer service.

The role involves processing specimens, handling billing support, and potential travel to additional sites. A phlebotomy certification or accredited training is required, with a high school diploma as a minimum.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training required.
• 2 years phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
