Job summary

Franklin Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood and other specimens for medical testing in the LAB. This non-exempt role requires adherence to safety standards and accurate documentation, with patient interaction and direct work with hospital departments.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a phlebotomy program, and certification preferred. Prior experience is a plus, and the schedule includes weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certified phlebotomy training preferred.
• Certification (NHA, ASCP, CPT) preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures for patients of all ages.
• Collect urine, stool, swabs and other specimens as required.
• Label, transport, and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Verify patient identity and document test requisitions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterility of equipment and workspace.
• Adhere to infection control procedures and PPE guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.
