Job summary

Labcorp in Franklin, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry and providing excellent patient service in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays. Phlebotomy certification or training is preferred, and candidates must meet color vision and background requirements. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
