Concord Hospital seeks a phlebotomist to collect venous and capillary blood samples from patients of all ages, ensuring proper labeling and handling for laboratory analysis.

The role supports patient service centers and the main facility, with reporting to the Supervisor Non-Technical and collaboration with Laboratory Management. High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy training preferred; experience in phlebotomy is a plus.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Training in phlebotomy procedures is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and process venous and capillary blood samples from patients of all ages.

Mansioni

• Obtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples required for laboratory analysis from patients of all ages upon request.
• Provides customer service to patients and stakeholders of the laboratory department.
• Assists in training phlebotomy students, nursing or laboratory personnel in regards to obtaining, handling and transport of specimens and related tasks.
• Demonstrates compliance with corporate, departmental and job-specific requirements.
• Identifies problems related to work activities and contributes to Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement.
• Demonstrates proficiency in using hospital laboratory information systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
