Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; accredited phlebotomy training preferred.
• Certification as Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) within 6 months of hire is required.
• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred, clinical or hospital setting ideal.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, venipuncture techniques, and infection control practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on patients of all ages.
• Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and obtain informed consent.
• Label, process, and transport specimens with proper chain-of-custody.
