Job summary

Labcorp in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role includes blood collection, specimen processing, and ensuring excellent patient service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 6+ months of phlebotomy experience, and a valid phlebotomy certification or accredited training. Travel to additional sites may be required and overtime is possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
