Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to join our onsite team in Pembroke, MA. The role involves collecting and processing blood specimens across age groups, ensuring proper patient ID and specimen labeling, and maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.

The candidate will work with computer systems and have access to comprehensive benefits, including a generous sign-on bonus of $3,000.00. Shifts are 8:40 am to 5:10 pm, with occasional Saturdays from Weymouth location, and a 40-hour

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Completion of a phlebotomy course preferred

Responsibilities

Obtains quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
Ensures accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, processing, handling, and transportation of specimens.
Communicates effectively with patients and patient care teams, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Handles sharps and biohazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Works fluently with computer programs and systems, and complies with HIPAA regulations.
Performs other test administration and specimen collection as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
