Job summary

Mass General Brigham Community Physicians, Inc. seeks a full-time Phlebotomist to work onsite at 323 Lowell Street, Andover, MA. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus and a 40-hour workweek.

Selected candidate will collect and process blood specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy, safety, and HIPAA compliance while delivering quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
• Ensures accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, processing, handling, and transportation of specimens.
• Communicates effectively with patients and patient care teams, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Handles sharps and biohazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Works fluently with computer programs and systems, and complies with HIPAA regulations.
• Performs other test administration and specimen collection as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
