Job summary

Mass General Brigham Community Physicians is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to work onsite at 323 Lowell Street, Andover, MA. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, 40 hours weekly, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

You will obtain quality blood samples, ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling, and communicate with patients and care teams while complying with HIPAA and safety protocols. A High School Diploma is required; phlebotomy training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Completion of a phlebotomy course preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtains quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for all age groups
• Ensures accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, processing, handling, and transportation of specimens
• Communicates effectively with patients and patient care teams, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
• Handles sharps and biohazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Works fluently with computer programs and systems, and complies with HIPAA regulations
• Performs other test administration and specimen collection as assigned
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards
