Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement in the San Antonio, TX area. The role requires 1-2 years of oncology diagnostic phlebotomy experience and entails blood draws, specimen handling, labeling, and transportation following protocol.

Responsibilities include labeling, centrifuging, data recording, and ensuring accuracy against physician orders. OSHA/DEP regulations must be followed; benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed as required.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; explain venipuncture clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles; ensure correct test requisitions and packaging.
